Love love! Nuts need re-tightened sometimes, or just deal with the swinging wood hard, still works fine. Would but again. I love the vintage look!

I’m honestly a little disappointed in this product. While it functions fine and looks roughly as described, the quality is a lot lower than anticipated for the price. The actual metal bracket that holds the roll is slightly askew, with one side being a bit longer than the other. I was able to sort of bend it straight, but it’s still a little off, and bends out of shape super easily every time I have to change the roll. Also, the brass color was coming off on the plastic of the packaging when it arrived, so I have a lot of doubts about how long the color will actually last. Otherwise, it was relatively easy to install, despite not being as sturdy and durable as I would like.

A practical update to a common bathroom issue

I originally bought this toilet paper holder because the previous one I had—while very stylish—used a traditional rod design and was slowly pulling out of the wall over time. I wanted something that looked just as nice but avoided that common design flaw. This style seemed to be the best solution I could find that balanced form and function. It stays secure instead of tugging at the wall every time you use it, which was the main reason I switched. At first glance, it looks like replacing the toilet paper might be awkward, but it’s actually very easy and straightforward once you use it. While this isn’t a life-changing product, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and looks good doing it. Overall, it’s a simple, stylish solution if you’re tired of traditional holders loosening over time.

Beautiful design

Very nice and great vintage design. My only concern is the roller has a spring pin in it, if it ever wears out I am not sure if I can find a replacement.

Works flawlessly, looks correct

Perfectly adequate. After replacing the included cross-head screws for correct slotted screws and tightening the mounting bolts, it works flawlessly and the toilet paper is held away from the wall. Very easy to change to a new roll.

Unique toilet paper holder

Such a cool and unique design for a more eclectic style. It fit perfectly on the side of the sink, it’s sturdy and it holds the roll of toilet paper. Easy installation. Will definitely get a second one for the other bathroom.

Unique Holder for an 1885 Carriage House Renovation

I was seeking a unique quality toilet paper holder for the renovation of a bathroom in an 1885 carriage house located on my property. This caught my eye. It had that touch of old fashioned flair I was seeking. The holder has a nice sturdy feel and is beautifully made. It was easy to install. I have had no issues with the paper catching on the ornate backing as described by some reviewers. It helps to position the brackets away from the back and tighten the screws on each side. This allows the paper to freely roll.

Unique piece

Product is really unique. Easy to install & looks great in our guest bathroom. House is 100yrs old so the blend of eclecticism worked out great!

We turned a our closet into a half bath. My wife found this and thought it would look good in there. It is very well made, solid, heavy. But like others have mentioned, you have to unscrew the spool to refill the roll.Not happening.So I took the time to take it apart and make some cut outs in the sides so the spool can easily lift in and out. I used an angle grinder, some file and some sandpaper. If you go this route be sure to use all safety precautions.This unit does come apart relatively easy, but it is all brass. So care has to be take with the screws and threaded holes. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. They will strip out and that is guaranteed to ruin your weekend.Only took about an hour or so to get it all deburred and looking presentable taking my time. But overall it came out nice. I think they really should change the design but until then if you have the means to do a little grinding on brass, and little bit of common sense, you can modify this to work pretty good.Just don't try to make sense of the text on it. ;)

Not the easiest to change the paper

I bought this for a friend and she love's it.It is beautiful. It is solid. Definitely a conversation starter.I think that there are two downfalls for this. The first is that, as stated by another reviewer, it is not easy to change the toilet paper. It involves unscrewing the end, taking it apart, putting the paper on the dowel, getting the screws into it correctly and hoping that you don't cross thread them. Not a quick change and go.The second is the screws that come with the item. I had read in another review that the screws hadn't been included. In ours the screws had been included: they were four one inch long wood screws. Well, they were going to be of any use, so my husband had to get the plastic wall inserts, drill four holes because they don't fit into the holes already in the walls.Still, awesome looking paper holder and my friend loves it

Practically perfect, except for 1 thing.

I wanted to love this because it looks cool. The material is very good, it is made out of solid material and will last forever. The problem is changing th toilet paper. You have to unscrew a nut at the end, slide out a very long screw, put the paper on the roll, slide the screw back in, shimmy the toilet paper with the screw through it back into place and secure the nut. The whole process is a bit arduous for as often as it needs to be done. If you don't mind that, the product is perfect.

Great product and It Exceeded My Expectations

Beautifully made...It gives my bathroom a steam punk look. One bonus I never thought was toilet paper conservation. The brass metal flap rests on the top of the toilet paper so you can't spin the roll of paper. You can take what you need without having to with flush this huge wad of paper and it alleviates having to roll the paper back up onto the roll. Score!
