Just recently installed it it seems to be working OK but let’s see with the weather how it’s going to hold up you can ask me again next year to see how it’s working. It’s a little too soon to be asking about what I like and what I don’t like when I really haven’t had time to see it in action.

Absolutely beautiful
This door knocker is absolutely gorgeous. It is heavy cast iron with beautiful detailing. I had it professionally installed, so I cannot address “ease of installation.” It was easy for me! It came a day earlier than expected. I would highly recommend it for a traditional style home. It looks great on my mahogany stained door.i

Just what I was looking for
Beautiful heavy door knocker. I bought this to replace a baldwin style knocker. I was very pleased to see that the holes lined up almost perfectly with the old ones. The holes only needed to be a little bit bigger to accommodate the larger screws. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the pin at the top pops out when you use the knocker. Not an issue if it is mostly for ornamental purposes. If you actually plan to use it regularly, you might want to replace the pin with a longer one that you can bend on the ends so it won't pop out.

Made to be installed on a thick door
I took off one star since it was a challenge to adapt this to installing it on a screen door. After cutting the bolts it tightened up OK. A caution that it was made for a certain thickness of door would have been helpful - I would have looked for a different option. Now that it is installed I am OK with it.

Way too heavy
This could knock out a burglar cold due to its metal plate being so darn heavy. Overall love the design.

I would have liked that it was drilled all the way through, the way it was set up I had to drill it , so I could put a screw all the way through it, other than that I like it

Garden gate door knocker
The key doesn't hang perfectly straight, but I don't feel like sending it back. It's also a little plain looking in person. I hung it on a garden gate. The idea of it was better than the reality.

Nice and big love the oak leaf design -plan to custom paint.
I look out the windows and see oak trees, and my screen door is metal with oak leaves, so when our second battery-driven doorbell gave out I decided to use a simple knocker instead. Installed on a metal door, changed the screw size for my door, it went on easliy. I'm not thrilled with the total black, but in the spring (now in a snowy winter) I will paint oak colors on it for a custom look. Yes, there were bits of black iron type something in the packaging but didn't seem to be anything from the actual knocker.

Good, but dissapointed
Not as dimensional as I hoped it would be. Very flat with the vein texture being the only raised part. Very heavy and well made.

Nicely made, attractive, but poor mounting
Overall I really like this door knocker. It is well made, sturdy, and attractive. My only complaint is mounting them. The knocker doesn't go up to a 90 degree angle from the door, so I had to get a special bent screwdriver to try and get the screws in (no impact driver for this job...) Then I discovered the screws were flat head brass painted black. Sounds good until the upper one got stripped out. It is now sticking out about half an inch and I can't get it in there any further.I would recommend this product, but I would recommend anyone who purchases it pick up a pair of steel Phillips head screws to install them.
