They’re not bad. If you want great hinges, spend 50 per from brusso or Horton. for the price these are good. Hardware sucks but most lower-price hinges have sucky hardware. There’s a massive amount of play in these but not a deal breaker for my project. I needed something rustic and the looks of wrought iron. Mission accomplished.

Successfully eplacing a 30+ year hinge

Just the closure we were looking for to replace one that had rusted. (The console was purchased at least 30 years ago.) Great quality.

These look beautiful. They are pretty sturdy, as I used them on some pretty heavy doors. I’ve had them for awhile now and they are still beautiful and working great.

Could be better

If you want the screw head to be flush with the hinge, be prepared to countersink the screw hole more than what it came with. Screw will stand slightly proud of the hinge unless you do.

Basic Hinges

These hinges work fine. They are basic Hinges, but what I didn't expect was the rough black texture. That's not a bad thing, but they feel like they have been rhino-coated. They are good, basic, cheap and rustic looking hinges for simple projects like bread boxes, jewelery boxes and I used them for a small cabinet door.

Some screws unusable; hinges are attractive for rustic-look

Renovating a 1930s farmhouse and needed some hinges for a few built-ins with cabinet doors that had been textured/painted over and needed to be removed. These seemed like a good option and they do work well enough looks-wise, but was disappointed that of the 10 hinges ordered, three of the screws were unusable (heads improperly molded and were flat, so unusable). Wouldn't be a big deal if they'd included an extra or two with each package, but when the numbers are exact, quality control is an important factor. I would order again, but know that I need to order extras to cover possible unusable screws, which is kind of a bummer.

As advertised

Pretty much what you would buy at the store. The dimensions are not misleading. Holds a good bit of weight for the small hedge. Been in use not for a few weeks in a bathroom. Time will tell of they hold up well to the steam and use.

Sturdy hinges for inset doors

We recently sanded and painted some old cabinets that the previous house owners made by hand. The doors are inset, and we literally spent hours looking for hinges would work with the way the cabinets were made, as well as the thickness. Although we originally wanted hidden hinges, these turned out to be great and just what we needed. They are easy to install and have smooth motion.

The H-Hinges were perfect for our repurposed project. They were the perfect fit and measued as descibed. They kept to the rustic look I was hoping for. I had taken an old 70's night stand bought at Habitat Restore and made it into a small wine bar for an apartment. The hinges worked perfectly and the quality was nice.

Before purchase, I read through reviews and questions. Probably MISREAD! My impression was that two hinges would be included. There was but one!On a quality note: the central axis is too small and allows for sloppy hinge movement (especially with only one hinge). A 2nd hinge would solidify the project, but I was in a hurry. It is mailed in a SMALL blister pack that doesn’t offer enough protection. Luckily, it wasn’t bent.

Stiff

The hinges were so stiff they would not open. I could feel the metal grinding in the hinge. I opened and closed them until they became loser. I then added oil and this made them less stiff. Still hard to open and close to work in the oil, but now useable. They should get better with use.

Order more screws

Good thing I bought more hinges than what I needed. Several of the small phillips head screws came and the head “+” had not been properly cleaned out (Had raw material still In them)Hinge themselves look good and we’re as advertised

Works for me

I can tell how others would think these are cheap, but even in all of my projects, I'd buy them again. I used these to hang light-weight doors on a tv stand.

The hinges appear to be exactly what I wanted. I have not yet finished the project, so they are still in there boxes.

Pretty OK

For the money it was good. One of six was all skiddywhompus and one of the screws paint had filled in the area where the screwdriver goes. But overall these hinges gave my project that nice edge.

I loved the product and the speedy delivery. I mounted the hinges and they look wonderful. I build cabinets using old windows for the doors. It was hard to find flush mount hinges that had straight lines. Perfect.

Good hinge

Nice hinge. Powder coated so it has texture to it and is not smooth but makes the hinge more sturdy I think. It didn’t fit my cabinet but I feel it is still a good product.

Made well .

I used these to make custom , rusted dart cabinets . They were exactly what I was looking for . Made well , priced great and shipped quickly . Other people must have liked them too because I was told that these cabinets average 1 sale per 6 weeks . Well my first one sold in 4 days . The second one , three weeks later .

These are just ok. They are think and loose. They worked for my purpose but I'd not use these again.

Flimsy

This hinge comes with screws. The hinge is flimsy and wiggles a lot at the pin. There is one hinge per package.

Sturdy and affordable H hinges

I used these inexpensive black matte finish h hinges on an antique dry sink I refurbished. They work wonderfully, and set off the red color nicely.One drawback: I wish they came with Phillips-head screws rather than straight screws. Phillips head are much easier to install using a battery-operated screwdriver.

Built this wardrobe back in the 80’s, wanted to use similar hinges on a new cupboard I plan to build, found them at the same Renevators Supply that I bought the first hinges 30 plus years ago. Quality is about the same. Maybe the metal is slightly thinner. New hinges do not have the pressed edges, which is fine with me. Hinges come with wrinkle paint, but I strip them, heat them with a torch and then drop them in linseed oil. Gives a nice black finish.

decent enough hinge

Decent enough hinge although a few have required a bit of "adjusting" with a hammer and a block of wood to get them so the leaves are in the same plane. Can't much complain based on the price though.

Mixed feelings

Would have given 5 stars but one of the set was twisted. To line the hinge up with the crack on the door the hinge looks crooked. Also agree with another review above, the screws included are not great. I would order again but inspect much closer as soon as they arrive.

These are good hinges IF you are going for a rustic or ...

These are good hinges IF you are going for a rustic or aged look on your project. Their finish does a great job mimicking much old hardware I've seen in old barns and whatnot. The only downside I experienced was that, when the hinges are closed upon themselves before install, you can see that one side of the hinge does not line up with the other, so it appears that it might cause a crooked alignment when installed. This may be a side-effect of the manufacturing process. If you want a precision hinge you'd need to look elsewhere.But when I installed them, they worked fine and they do look great on the cabinet. I'm giving five stars despite the possible flaw in the hinges because I'm really impressed with the follow-up email I received from the company. I'm seeing more and more of this on Amazon and great customer service stands out to me.

one of the screws didn't have a slot in it so there wasn't a good way to screw it in. Vice grips and a hammer did it.

Nice looking, go easy with the screws which are flat head slotted type, predrill first. Hinge is smooth flat black. There is a fair amount of movement in the hinge due to loose pins which must be compensated for in order to get the door to hang properly.

The hinges were perfect for my cabinet project

The hinges were perfect for my cabinet project. However, the screws were less satisfactory. I had to clear each of the slots to make sure the finish had not made them impossible to drive. A bit of soap on the threads and predrilling with a vix bit--absolutely necessary. I also drove most of the screws by hand since a power (even my 7 volt dewalt) was too hard to keep centered in the slot. A bit of extra work that.slightly deeper slots would have helped even this old hand.

excellent in terms of appearance, apparent quality, and price. Only one minor quibble: a couple of the included mounting screws were defectively manufactured: no turning slots in the head.<br>MH

If better screws were included I'd give five stars. The included screws are slotted and, although they are period authentic, slotted screws are always more difficult to drive; not helpful in a production environment. To compound the problem the slots were not consistent width. You will need to re-grind a screwdriver to a very thin tip to drive some of the screws. Also, one screw twisted off while I drove it into soft pine; not helpful. But the hinge itself is good.

Underwhelming

My initial impression of these hinges is that they are thinner material than I expected and the hinge mechanism does not work smoothly even with no load. The finish seems painted on and certainly doesn't give the impression of wrought iron. Ultimately, I would not use these on anything I care about, but for $3 they could be good for some cheap, quick thing.
