INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
1. Open the shutters all the way
2. Position the dog under the edge of the shutters
3. Place the provided lag bolt that it has enough contact with the shutter to hold it open
4. Once you're satisfied with the dog's position, mark the bolt's location
5. Drill a pilot hole at the mark
6. Using a wrench, twist the bolt into the siding
7. Repeat the process for the other dog and you are done!

Rigid, secure, well made. Just be aware that there is no clamp included that prevents the product from turning and spinning after install which is fine if you will use it to move functional shutters but if you will be applying to a fix shutter you may want to add a washer or stopper piece to the screw to minimize movement.

Excellent Quality, Good Value
This is the 3rd home where we have used these shutter dogs. They add a touch of elegance and age to a newer home. Good quality and weight. Very authentic. We drill holes into the actual shutter and adhere the shutter dogs to the shutter only and then angle as to give the look of being anchored into the brick. Easy to install and remove (although you won't want to remove them). Look especially good when using 2 dogs per shutter (top and bottom).

Just Okay
they look nice from a distance and are made of aluinum for corrusion resistance, but they are very thin and the paint coating is not high quality. I had to drill the holes larger and use previous anchor bolts to screw into existing expansion anchors in brick. Pricey for quality

Shutter Dog Holders Saved the Day!
I had purchased these shutter dogs to hold wooden Fall decoration signs firm. The wind would bounce the signs off the house siding. So, I was looking for some way to keep them from doing so. The shutter dogs did the trick. Easy to install and decorative at the same time. I don't have photos at this time. But, the quality and appearance are worth the money.

Heavy duty at a great price
We had the entire exterior of our house painted. We needed eight shutter dogs to replace the old ones. Looked high and low for a durable rather than thin product. I am a o happy we found these. Heavy duty, high quality at a price substantially lower than 3 brick and mortar stores and every other online seller. Finish is untextured...
Be careful with this product. Finish in smooth rather than textured. Other vendors sell the dogs with a textured finish I have used on other shutters, and about 5.00 cheaper. It's a good product...just not textured.
