Look nice, hand made, but one of the two was a twisted sister. Probably should have not gone out that way. Fortunately the wood I used was forgiving enough to accommodate it, so it worked out in the end. There was also a chip in the black powder coating, so am a bit concerned about long term.

The screws that came with the hinges either broke off or stripped. They're too soft. Short black drywall screws work fine and look good. Other wise the hinges are beautiful. otherwise

Versitile
Rustic style hinges are exactly what I expected. The style fits my purpose and they are strong enough to last for many years.the screws provided are good for cabinet projects but for my gates, about 40lbs each, I used stronger screws with better grip. If you want to use lag bolts you will need to drill the existing holes larger.

Door Strap Hinges
I love my black door strap hinges. We made our own stained outdoor shutters for the front of our house and used the Strap Hinges for decoration. They look awesome and add the country look to the shutter that I was looking for. I would highly recommend them. Our neighbors have given us many compliments on them.

Needs some improvent, but looks nice... use a different screw than ones included.
Nice look, but rusting already at screws (within 2 months on door) leaving brown streaks on new $600 gate! Hinge strength seems marginal... I would use again but I would use different screws as ones included were too small, not coated for rust (It seems) I would also suggest making the side portion a bit wider with one offset screw to get a better bite into the post for strength. Be sure to frequently lubricate as it is a matte finish
