Looks good but don’t know how it works instructions be nice
Like the appearance but don’t quit understand how it works and no instructions. One bracket has a closed loop the other has an open loop. The heart has screw holes and came with screws, so if the heart is screwed down it’s flap goes up n down but how does it go through the closed loop latch. Mystery ended up using the open loop , heart screwed down with flap/arm coming down to rest on open loop. Now if arm n heart are to be used as a slide then why not two closed loops??

Good looking and well made door latch - watch the thickness!
While I was quite pleased with the quality and design of the latch, I had to return it because it wouldn't accommodate my thick (3 1/4") gate. This is really for a regular door. The vendor was great and tried to work through the issue, but happily allowed me to return it when we realized it wouldn't work.<br><br>This latch is MUCH better than anything you'll find in a box store if you're going for an antique look.
