Great latches (and seller)!

I bought these to keep the french doors to my plant room closed (the original latches kept sticking and I wanted to replace them with something with more character). These fit the bill wonderfully. They were easy to install and open/close smoothly. They feel sturdy and have successfully kept the cats from pushing the doors open and trying to kill themselves with what they seem to see as a plant buffet. Originally one of the two came missing a piece, but I contacted the seller and they sent a full replacement out the next day and that one arrived in perfect condition. Although I would've loved a few more style options (not a huge heart fan myself), these are fantastic and I would definitely buy them again.

Made well and sturdy for our indoor doggie gate

Reading all of the reviews, I decided to order the latches because they were so nice. The black wrought iron gate flip latch is very sturdy and stable. We purchased 3 sets. One for each hardwood dog gate, we created for our home. They are adorable and well made! I would not use them on an exterior barn door or stable. The latches are not large enough to support massive doors and weight, so it is important that you read all of the detail regarding them before purchase. I would recommend them for handmade hardwood dog gates, kitchen cabinets, or for crafting if you are re-purposing antiques. So all of the negative reviews are due to the fact that they did not do their own research. With the order, we also purchased the 5 1/4 or 5 1/2 inch wrought iron hinges to attach to the frame of our hardwood dog doors. I apologize when it comes to the exact measurement but, you can find them here on Amazon. So with all of this said, we are absolutely satisified with our purchases, Thank you!

Poor quality and fit.

Hitch too tight and ultimately broke, latch handle detached, and missing screw. Ordered replacement but now I have to package/send back broken unit. Had to improvise a latch, spend time shipping back, and frankly can’t really trust the replacement when it shows up.

Just what I wanted. Perfect for my wooden dog crate. Only complaint is that we had to sand it a little to make it open easier. I’m sure it would’ve worn and be fine in time. Happy with my purchase!

unbelievably beautiful and exactly what we needed in a hard to fit area: we put a stained glass window as a 'window covering' and used long gate hinges to access the window--so we then needed a latch that would be flexible in length between the frame of glass and the window frame. THIS latch is amazingly perfect for this placement.

Loved it until it started to rust. Dripped all over our new white fence. Ugh!! Not recommended for weather.

Very sturdy and easy to use after installed on our gate for the doggies.

Price fits quality

This is a great little latch for smaller, less used gates. It has a little too much deviation from center axis to hold a gate in place. Probably better for smaller, less used gate applications. Straight forward install, fair price. I did end up switching it out for a more sturdy latch as the client wanted something a little more robust.

Expected it not to be as quality as it is. It’s not at all a heavy piece but it’s solid. And once put up on door it looks fabulous and works great. Not at all flimsy or loose when in closed position. We have an indoor pig who loves to try and sneak into our large walk in pantry. I hate the difficult child safety patches that actually work for the type of double doors we have on our pantry plus they are just not convenient or attractive. The hardware in our kitchen match this piece so it fits in beautifully and looks so special and unique. A lot less like we are those crazy parents who lock up the food like we live in a prison. This is not so obtrusive and does the job perfectly. It’s a good side not to look pathetic and to small but it’s not overbearing and big. Highly recommend.

Iron Love

We love this so much that we had to get another one. It fits perfectly on our storage door and adds a charm to the entire area! Beautiful craftsmanship!
