Golden Oak Finish Wooden Round Toilet Seat with Chrome Hinges and Stabilizers

Quality product. Meets expectations.

This product arrived as specified. However, the attaching mechanism to the toilet bowl has flanges that interferes with the toilet bowl itself making attachment difficult.Further, I have had a beautiful wood toilet seat for years that I have attempted to replace with the same quality. It just seems to not exist. This product is useable, just not the caliber I was looking for.

We purchased this seat, one of the higher priced ones, on Amazon because we wanted one that was durable. Most of the seats you buy now have thin little skids on the bottom of the lid, where it rests on the bowl, but these were supposed to be much better. Those are, but here it is 7 months later, most of the time we were gone on trips, and the metal hardware holding the top to the bottom broke while I was lifting the lid. I'm going to contact the manufacturer and Amazon and see if they will provide wither another seat or another set of hardware and, if they do, then I'll come back and change my rating and revise this comment.6/12/18 - I've now revised my feedback upwards. This is the best and sturdiest seat I've seen on Amazon or in the mortar and brick stores. While the hinge did break, when we got in touch with the manufacturer they sent out a replacement set of hardware which we received in a week and a few minutes later the seat was working again.As to the score, it was originally a 1, since I believe a toilet seat that costs that much than the competitors should last more than 8-9 months. However, if there hadn't been any problems it would have been a 5. Since the manufacturer was very nice and promptly provided the replacement parts, I've bumped the review up to a 4 star. I may even come back later and raise it highr if there are no more problems.

Wonderful product, fits well, easy install.

It came very quickly and very carefully packed. It appears to be very well made and it looks great! It's solid hardwood, nicely finished, and well put together. I especially appreciate the hardware and spent more money for this seat, rather than getting one of the other wooden seats because I know that it is often the hardware that goes before the seat. This has a strong bar stabilizing the two points of connection. It's too bad there is not a picture showing this. I was willing to pay more for a product I hope will wear longer and I feel looks better. I will note that although called "golden oak," it has a warm reddish tone. i have another bathroom I'd like to get one for, in which it will be too reddish and I wish this manufacturer made a more ash-y and less reddish brown toned seat as I really like the way this one is made. I am curious about the mahogany one they make, which is currently out of stock.

Expensive, but worth it. Arrived on time really well packed! They wanted to make SURE it made it to me undamaged. Easy to install, looks wonderful; even my wife said "that's really cool..." Highly recommended!
