Easy mounting. Much louder inside than outside (of course).
Goes well with medieval door. Is much louder from inside than it sounds from outside. Easily heard across the far rooms. Mounting very easy.

Not heavy metal, but it is nice looking
This came with screws with is nice!(others do not) We have not installed it yet, but it is nice looking and will knock well enough. I wished it was a more heavy metal, but I have tested it by holding it in place and it will work for our front door and look nice too.

Determined to not drill holes in my front door. Selected cast iron unit with flat back plate. Attached with industrial strength Velcro. Solid and simple...elegant and loud .
