Perfect gift

Good and could have been great.
The knocker would get 5 stars but the chrome on the backing plate has a 5mm patch where it doesn't look the same as the rest. It wasn't bad enough to return the knocker but it keeps it from being 5 stars. The pivot area was also not finished very well prior to being chromed. It has some deep scratches from grinding that were chromed over. Still attractive and nobody walking up to the front door will ever notice them.

Great design
I am very pleased with the design of this door knocker. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it arrived with some scratches. I had to go to the local hardware store to have the rods (which go through the door) cut, as they were too long for my front door. Very easy to fix and it fits perfect now. I think this is a nice addition to our front door. I would buy from this company again. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted -- there are several great options.

cute but some issues
this is a cute door knocker, it's small but has character. Overall it's OK. Two issues that make it expensive for what you get. First, the interior screw caps make this look a bit unfinished/industrial which gives a not very elegant look from the inside of my front door. Second, I have a high end chrome lockset, and this door knocker looks a bit drab next to it. The finish isn't super well done. I would recommend this to someone who really wants the squirrel and is willing to overlook some of the details and the finish.
