Excellent
The product is amazing but the spindle is a disappointment i cant fix it on my door coz its 4inchs thick i meed customize my own
I bought this for its design. I'm not so sure about being rust proof. I've had it on my gate less than a month, we haven't had any rain and it seems some places are showing traces of oxidation. Will C after the our Northwest winter and spring.
Worked Great for my custom built gate. The gate was 2 1/4 inches thick and this worked without any cutting required. The screws are even authentic straight blade screw heads so best to put them in by hand. Quality of the latch is good and well coated.
i was not expecting this item to be like this.it is far larger and thicker than what i was expecting. the dimensions are listed but, you really dont see it until you have it in your hands. it is extremely sturdy and well made. needless to say, i am extremely satisfied with this. Please keep in mind that this is A TWO WAY DOOR LATCH - you can open it thru the inside and thru the outside - as if you were to install it on a bedroom door. Not quite what i needed it for personally but i really didnt read the entire description. thinking it was just a single door latch i wasnt expecting much out of it. I am still impressed.the only 1 little disappointing thing is that is says "Includes Slotted Pyramid Head Screws Intended for Indoor Use" and this was not true - it did not include any slotted pyramid head screws. it came with eleven(11)x 3/4" long phillips head black screws. Almost look like drywall screws.
This is a very sturdy latch and it looks great! However, it came with a piece that is supposed to go between the latch knob and the handles and there are 2 problems. First, there is no way to put that in there...it should have been made with this already in place. And 2nd, the latch knob is all the way out to the end unlike the picture.
opening on latch is a little tight , had to grind latch down and repaint for better operation
I really like the look of this latch set buuuut....it wasn’t latching and the ring on the other side would not open correctly due to imperfections in the casting, with some manipulating by use of a file, a dremmel with a grinding stone and a can of flat black spray paint to retouch up the paint, it works correctly now. If it wasn’t for the look that it gave my gate, I would of just returned it. I have one more gate to build so hopefully this next one works right without me having to make adjustments...dang it!
