Looks nice on my outside cabinet doors, however you will need to be very careful when mounting because the coated finish chips easily.
The size and style are great for artistic gates, etc. However, the hook bend is not 90 degrees, but more like 110, which makes it not fit completely into the hook receptor. It does still hold enough to keep the gate closed, however. In addition, it is not 100% rust proof, though a good jot of Rustoleum fixes this.
Love this latch for my shutters!
I've used only 1 so far, but have plans for the others. The one that's installed just makes the look of the cabinets I restored. It's decorative without being too fancy, just perfect. The hook works well. Using a fine drill bit for starter holes helped with installation in hard wood.

So lots of bad reviews saying that these rust and they would their wrought iron and wrought iron does rust. That said the quality is very good they look really great and for decorative use I would highly recommend
