The contractor who will install siding over my existing asbestos shingles wanted me to remove the iron pipe railings so he could go over the area with vinyl siding. This would have meant removing the railing by unscrewing joints that have rusted in place since 1932, shortening the pipes after he was done, and then re-threading them so I could re-install them.......sounded very problematic so I covered the railing/wall interface with 2 x 6 to mimic the existing porch columns.
The plan was to cover the hole where the pipe runs through the 2 x 6 with escutcheons to give the job a finished look and these two part escutcheons were perfect for the job.
The flange worked and fit perfectly.
Fit perfectly. Really fast shipping.
These flanges were exactly what I was looking for to hide radiator pipe holes in the floor. They are attractive, but inconspicuous, very well constructed, easy to install and remove, and a good value.
We just put in new flooring and the hole required to get around the valve handle ended up a little too big for the bezel to cover. We put this on it and then the chrome bezel and it looks like it was always intended to be that way.
Has nice weight and two pieces hold pretty tight and close flush.
