They have a much better design than typical shutter dogs. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is all of the screws rusted within a month. One of the screws rusted off and broke leaving the shutter dog unusable. That being said, I am re-ordering and just buying better screws. The product itself did not rust, only the screws.

These are simple to use and hold my shutters securely to prevent them from coming loose and slamming into the windows during unexpected wind gusts.

Love the shutter dogs, don't love the screws
Love the product, good looking, well made and very sturdy. Perfect and a good value. However; you should be prepared to buy your own screws, the ones provided would require a ton of work with screwdriver versus a gun. Othere than that, great product.

They are working fine for me after a month of
I ordered these to use as "working" holdbacks. The screws are very light weight and I had to drill out the holes and replace with drywall screws. The photo is a little off in that the center of the device is not a "nub" but also a relatively light screw head. They are working fine for me after a month of use
