The screws were very inferior. They are made of soft iron and completely inadequate for this application.I drilled a pilot hole but the screws broke off when trying to attach them. Additionally they are not the correct screw for this application. They need to be shorter and fully threaded. It’s clear to me that these screws were selected by someone that has no idea about the basics of woodworking.
