Looks good but don’t know how it works instructions be nice

Like the appearance but don’t quit understand how it works and no instructions. One bracket has a closed loop the other has an open loop. The heart has screw holes and came with screws, so if the heart is screwed down it’s flap goes up n down but how does it go through the closed loop latch. Mystery ended up using the open loop , heart screwed down with flap/arm coming down to rest on open loop. Now if arm n heart are to be used as a slide then why not two closed loops??

Good looking and well made door latch - watch the thickness!

While I was quite pleased with the quality and design of the latch, I had to return it because it wouldn't accommodate my thick (3 1/4") gate. This is really for a regular door. The vendor was great and tried to work through the issue, but happily allowed me to return it when we realized it wouldn't work.

This latch is MUCH better than anything you'll find in a box store if you're going for an antique look.
